Dr. Mihora received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. She completed her internship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California and her residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. She then finished a fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the San Antonio Uniformed Services University Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.

Dr. Mihora is Board Certified and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Mihora remains active in the Air Force reserves after being stationed for two years at Elmendorf AFB, AK and two years at Langley AFB, VA. She specializes in plastic surgery for the eyelids, brows and face, orbit masses and tumors and cataract surgery.
