Dr. Sara Ghobraiel is a board certified, fellowship trained specialist in cataract and glaucoma surgery. She employs the latest glaucoma technology, Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery, as well as more traditional surgery in complex glaucoma cases.

Dr. Ghobraiel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She earned her Medical Degree at New York University in Manhattan, graduating with honors. She completed her General Surgery internship and Ophthalmology Residency at her alma mater, NYU. In order to pursue further sub-specialization, Dr. Ghobraiel went on to complete her fellowship in Glaucoma at Northwestern University in Chicago.

She is both a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Ghobraiel’s hobbies include trying new plant-based meals with her husband, and spending time with her adorable dog Tim and cat Schmidt.
